The Welcome Ministry is all about making people feel at home when they come to Unity Christ Church. In our Garden Court is a sign that reads: “Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome here.” And every Sunday, on the platform, the minister says these words to all in attendance. So the Welcome Ministry is all about enhancing that statement with actions, presence and consciousness.
Welcomers understand the challenges that face some of our first time visitors; they are unfamiliar with the church surroundings and may feel isolated if they don’t know anyone. Welcomes are committed to support each person entering our doors to feel included and informed. The presence of our welcomers is an integral part of creating a nurturing community experience on Sunday mornings and at special services.
MISSION STATEMENT: We behold the Christ presence in each person who enters the church door on Sunday mornings, making a special effort to reach out to those who are new or unengaged.
