Mission and Values

Vision
We are a dynamic, vibrant, welcoming and prosperous community of faith, created as a center for Spiritual understanding and for building Christ consciousness in our members and the wider community.

Mission
Our mission is to celebrate, honor and affirm the divine presence in every person.

Core Values:

Oneness with God
God is spirit. As spiritual beings, our highest purpose is to know and express our oneness with God.

Unconditional Love
We are one in Spirit. We offer hope and loving support in challenging times, and we celebrate our joys.

Prayer and Meditation
We acknowledge the power of prayer and meditation to inspire, transform and to heal. Through affirmative prayer, we change our lives. Through meditation, we open ourselves to insight, intuition, and a conscious awareness of Divine Spirit within.

Practical Use of Truth Principles
Universal Truth principles are positive, practical tools for use in daily life which, when applied consistently, produce predictable results. We use Truth principles to express our divine potential, and to achieve a deeper understanding of our spiritual nature as children of God.

Lifelong Spiritual Learning

We are open to opportunities to deepen our understanding of our oneness with God. We recognize the value of continuing education as a means of enriching our spiritual experience.

Inclusiveness

All people are accepted and welcomed here. We honor the holy nature of every person.

Our Blessings:

Joyful, uplifting and inspiring services which allow us to collectively discover and celebrate the truth of our being as children of God.

An exceptional and creative music program which fills us with joy while expanding our awareness of God working in and through us.

Prayer and meditation activities, healing services, and a variety of small and large-group sharing opportunities which enhance our spiritual growth individually and as a community.

Strong, extensive, high-quality education programs that support people of all ages in spiritual growth and understanding, with an emphasis on the practical application of Truth principles in our personal lives and in the wider community.

Effective and well-supported ministry teams, both ongoing and ad hoc, that bring a Spirit-driven vitality and immediacy to our mission. These may include prayer, healing, music, social, outreach, pastoral care, appreciation, inspiration line, bookstore, church promotion, senior, family and intergenerational ministries, among others.

A well-led and inspired team of creative, skilled, committed, and empowered staff and volunteers.

A diverse congregation which accepts and welcomes all people and supports both short term and long term participation, depending on individual needs.

Abundant and well-managed financial resources that provide for current needs and that are a manifestation of a long-term plan for ongoing support and future growth.

Facilities and a campus that are well suited to our needs, beautiful and well maintained, and highly functional in support of our spiritual, educational, social, and community programs.

An effective Outreach Ministry which extends outside of Unity Christ Church into the surrounding communities and beyond, to provide inspiration, support and prayer, and which affirms God’s presence in the world.

Five Unity Principles

1. There is only one Presence and one Power active as the universe and as my life, God the Good.

2. Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence was fully expressed in Jesus, the Christ.

3. We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.

4. Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.

5. Through thoughts, words and actions, we live the Truth we know.
